Haben Sie ein Lieblingsbild? Warum bedeutet dieses Bild Ihnen so viel? Was verbinden Sie damit? Der Einfluss der Bilder auf den Menschen ist enorm. Ein Bild wirkt sofort. Sobald wir eines sehen, unternimmt das Gehirn einen Abgleich: Kennen wir, was wir sehen? Und sogleich werden Assoziationsketten ausgelöst, gegen die wir uns als Mensch nicht wehren können.

Deshalb können Bilder zu Impulsen werden, uns in eine andere Welt tragen. Sie können uns beruhigen, ängstigen, ermahnen und uns Mut machen. Dazu muss das Bild selber kein Kunstwerk sein. Es muss etwas enthalten, das uns an etwas erinnert. Damit kann es etwas anrühren, das wir schon in uns tragen. Diese Wirkung beanspruchen viele Bilder. Eben weil Bilder eine unmittelbare und effektive Beeinflussung ausüben können, werden sie von den Medien und der Werbung eingesetzt. Firmen, Parteien, öffentliche und private Menschen setzen Bilder ein um damit unterschiedlichste Dinge zu erreichen. Nur ein Bruchteil davon passiert unsere Filter. Nur wenige bleiben im Gedächtnis.

Die Bachelor-Arbeit "Mein Bild" fragt nach den Geschichten hinter den Bildern, die einzelne Menschen besonders rührten und es damit schafften, nicht in der Masse an Bildern unterzugehen und zu einem Symbol, einem Schlüssel oder einem Anker zu werden. Dazu wurden 15 unterschiedliche Personen mit ihren liebsten Bildern besucht um zu erfahren, was die Macht eines Bildes im Einzelnen ausmacht. Die Bildgeschichten einer Nonne, eines Bankkaufmannes, einer Unternehmerin, einer Verkäuferin, einer Psychologin und weiteren, erzählen vom individuellen Einfluss, den Bilder auf den Menschen haben können und welche Rolle und Funktion dem Lieblingsbild eines Menschen dabei im Speziellen und Allgemeinen zukommt.
